Marked evolution following first week of campaign

At Patrick Morin in the province of Quebec, there are no half-measures when it comes to the Well Made Here program: Management has decorated its twenty locations with large banners featuring the Well Made Here logo and leaflets are being literally stapled to customers’ receipts.

Customers at Canadian hardware stores are discovering Well Made Here

The Spring awareness campaign for Well Made Here, which only got underway April 17, is now in full swing at hardware stores across the country; customers are receiving leaflets when they make a purchase. Hence, are invited to visit www.ici-here.ca and learn more about the products and participating manufacturers.

Bélanger in Montreal offers a leaflet to her customer.

A growing number of visitors on ici-here.ca

The start of the distribution of leaflets appears to have had a positive impact on the number of visits to the ici-here.ca site. In fact, as of April 17th, 63 % of visitors have directly input the URL address in their browser of choice to get to the site. This amounts to 499 of the 758 visitors who generated 1,120 sessions. Furthermore, during the second week following the launch, the number of visits has just about doubled compared to the first week.

Even though this is a Canadian program, it has sparked the interest of our neighbours to the South. Some 10 % of visits originate from the United States.

Saskatchewan added to the list thanks to a new participant

Since the launch of the campaign, the number of participating manufacturers is continuing to grow, nearing the 100-participant milestone, the Board of Directors are confident that this number will be attained by the time they are set to meet, which is on June 4th in Toronto.

Interesting fact, this week, Saskatchewan made its début on the list of participants when Jim Scharf Holdings, manufacturer of E-zee Wrap, signed up for the program.

Six provinces are now represented: Alberta, British-Columbia, Ontario, Quebec, Saskatchewan and Newfoundland & Labrador.

Together, the participating manufacturers have begun filling up the online catalogue of the ici-here.ca site, publishing 491 product line information sheets, which represents data for approximately 3,480 individual products (SKUs).
